BRP Plans A Strategic Approach To Projects

The connection of water, sewer, and gas often needs to be installed in busy city centres, high-traffic areas, or wetland areas. You need a strategic approach to avoid interrupting the existing environment and hard stand areas which not only requires professional installation, but project management and traffic control too.

BRP Industries is capable of planning, managing and successfully drilling for projects based in all terrains. Our horizontal directional drilling and trenchless technology service is available for contracts in the water and sewer industries in Australia. We are currently a leading supplier of all utility constructions.

Water Mains Issues

Corrosion from soil or frost can lead to holes or cracks in a water main over time.

Due to the pressure inside water pipes, a break in the water main will cause water to flow out and eventually end up on the streets, lawns, or in basements and underfloor areas. Water in the home can also become contaminated as a result.

Expected lifespans for common supply pipes:

Copper Pipes: 70-80 years
Brass Pipes: 80-100 years
Galvanised Steel Pipes: 80-100 years

Sewer blockages

The majority of sewerage problems stem from clogged pipes, which prevent sewage from flowing away from properties.

Gurgling sounds, slow draining sinks and toilets, or effluent that overflows from internal floor wastes or an external gully are all signs that the sewer system needs to be fixed.
